Reservation
Request made by letter, email or facsimile must state sender's name and address together with fax number if available. When a request is accepted, CITS USA will confirm the service booking stating the specifications of the relevant requirments which are to be fulfilled by the client. Any failure in the fulfillment of the requirments may result in the automatic cancellation of the reservation.

Deposit
A Deposit of $200 per person is required with reservation of tour, hotel, air ticket or other services. Deposit should reach our office no later than 10 days after reservation. Balance is due 50 days prior to the departure or commencenment of the service.

Cancellation:
When notification of cancellation made by the participant of the agent in writing of Fax is received by the company:
1) Packaged programs:
No refund of the deposit after the confirmation is made. 29-15 days prior to tour departure: 20% of the tour cost. 14 - 7days prior to tour departure: 50% of the tour cost. 3 days or less to tour departure: No refund will be made.
2) Hotel and flight ticket: 10 days prior to the check-in: 20% of the tour cost. 9 days or less: No refund will be made.
3) No refund will be made to those participants who break the journey from the itinerary, regardless of whatever portions that remain unused in the itinerary.
4) Refund will not be made if passengers change hotels and/or services en-route.
5) Travel insurance and Visa handling fee is nonrefundable.
6) Refunds will not be made for complimentary accommodations and services provided by the airline.
Payment
Payment to the company should be made no less than 20 business days by:

• bank draft payable to CITSUSA
• personal check is accepted
• American Express Credit card is accepted

Tour Price
Tour price includes land arrangement and air transportation costs as a package. Tour price is quoted in US dollars and based on tariffs and rates of exchange between US dollars and foreign currencies in effect from time to time. Air transportation is via selected Airlines. All prices are subject to change without notice. United States departure, airport taxes and Customs fees in effect at time of ticketing and all foreign airport taxes are not included. All additional expenses including hotel accommodations, meals and transportation caused by sickness, weather, strikes, wars, civil disturbance, quarantines, alterations in ship, air or railroad services or by any other factor beyond CITS USA's control are the responsibility of the passengers and will be collected on the spot. Air Transportation
Air transportation is via designated airlines in the itineraries. Fares used for the tours are based on valid published fares and their respective fare rules applicable to the tour program in effect September 1998. All fares and fare rules are subject to change by the airlines. Any fare increase resulted from such changes will be added to the tour price and be borne by the passenger.
Air transportation within China is provided b the domestic Chinese carriers. Air fare are subject to change and any increase in fare will be added to the tour price and be borne by the passenger.

Hotel Accommodation
First Class hotels with private bath as specified in the itinerary will be used. Right is reserved to substitute hotel for those specified in the itinerary whenever necessary. All hotel accommodations are on the basis of two persons sharing a twin-bedded room.

Meals
As specified in the itinerary. Voluntary non-usage of meal are non refundable and non exchangeable.

Transfers and Sightseeing
All transfers and sightseeing are by motor-coach, car or other conveyance. Transfers to and from airports and hotels will be provided only for tour members utilizing the airspace reserved for the group. Sightseeing tours are as described in the tour itineraries. Inside China, sightseeing is restricted to the sightseeing points covered by the tour package price charged by Tour Operators in China. Additional sightseeing points not normally covered in the tour package price will incur extra charges on the spot. CITS USA reserves the right to assign individual passengers departing from non-designated gateways, and groups falling below the minimum requirement of 15 passengers, a seat on transportation not necessarily used for the sole purpose of CITS USA.

Vaccination
No certificate of vaccination is required for traveling to China. However, health regulation are liable to change at short notice, and it is always advisable to check current health regulations with air carriers when making reservation.

Tips and Taxes
Hotel taxes are included in the land cost. Airport departure taxes, China domestic airport taxes and and additional city development / construction fees imposed by the local government are not included in the tour price and will be collected from each participant before departure at each airport. Tips to restaurant and hotel waiters, chambermaids and porters are not included. The customary end-of-the-tour gratuity to tour managers and tips to local guides and drivers are not included. Important Notice CITS USA reserves the right to cancel and tour when the number of participants falls below ten people, a minimum group requirement. The right is reserved to decline acceptance or retention of any person as tour participant whose health condition makes him/her physically unfit for long trips due to mental illness, heart disease, serious chronic or contagious illness, physical handicaps, pregnancy, senility of infirmity. A refund of all payments or unused land payments will constitute the maximum limit of CITS USA liability.

Tibet Tours
Because of the regulations of the local government of Tibet, only tour groups are approved with the special permit to tour in the area. Minimum five passengers are regarded as a group. CITS USA reserves the right to assign the individual passenger to a particular group or cancel it when it lacks enough participants.

Responsibility
CITS USA and its divisions and affiliates are acting as agents for the airlines, cruise lines, hotels, group operators and other suppliers of the travel and accommodations provided to tour members and have issued tickets and made arrangements as agents upon the express conditions that they shall have no liability for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, performance or irregularity which may be occasioned for any reason by the suppliers or other companies engaged in conveying or accommodating tour members. Tour members shall contract directly with the airlines, hotels and other suppliers involved and said contract shall constitute the sole contract of the tour member with respect to the tour. CITS USA shall not be liable for, and tour members hereby waive any claim against CITS USA, its divisions and affiliates for, any acts, omissions, promises and failures of performance by any airlines, cruise line, ground operator, other transportation company, hotel or any third party providing services to the tour. All tour itineraries, performance, and prices may be affected by sickness, weather strikes, wars, civil disturbance, quarantines, alterations in ship, air or railroad services or by other causes. CITS USA reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as member of any tour at any time. CITS USA reserves the right to cancel and tour prior to departure. In such case, full refund of all payments will constitute full settlement with passenger.
